I have used it in Florida, Texas, Georgia, Maryland & Aruba. It easily manages fish up to 41 inches long. I have caught Dorado, Amberjacks, Snook, Mackerel, Kingfish, Sea Trout, Stripers, Bone Fish, Lady Fish, Snapper & Bass without problem. These rods are top quality with the best guiders & reel seats in the industry. They are impervious to salt. I pair mine with a Okuma Cedros 40 & 55 Bait Runner Reels! I also use Cortland Masterbraid on them with Seguar Carbonfloura leaders. Inshore perfect & great for offshore top water casting with pile on fish!
Travel to Costa Rica, March 28, 2012 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Okuma Nomad Inshore Travel 7-Feet Spinning Rod (Sports) I bought this fishing rod for use on a trip to Costa rica. This was easy to travel with and there were no issues through security as I kept this as a carry on. The case is roomy and I was able to fit another small fishing rod and collapsable net inside it. The fishing rod itself performed good and had a good feel bottom fishing from a small boat. The only complaint is that it could be balanced a little better the tip was heavy, but this was not really an issue. overall this is a great travel rod and would recommend. be careful with the description as the photo is different that the actual part. I purchased the inshore model.
