the absolute best, October 27, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Abu Garcia Veritas Cast Rod (1 Piece) (Sports) I don't even know where to begin with this rod. This is the best rod I have ever laid on my front deck. It has the strength to get a true hookset and is light enough to hold for 10 hours. Not to mention the price on these rods is awesome. I had bought one from basspro based on the name brand and looks of the rod. I enjoyed it so much I bought 4 more on amazon. When they arrived I was a little nervous because of the price differance, but let me tell you. The rods were brand new without a flaw. Packaged the same as bass pro. It's a awesome deal people. You will not be disappointed. Especially if you set a revo s on it. Down right unhealthy to be a fish.

Very sensitive thus easy to tell if there is something hitting the other end of the line. Worth every penny of the asking price and than some.

Abu Garcia is off on their tip ratings. This rod has no tip. It is a Hvy rod with a Mod tip. I use it to fish a jig. Other than the tip rating the rod is great.
