I used the other for around 4 or 5 yrs. It was great. I slipped and fell in Alaska this year and used it to break my fall. Unfortunately, it didn't survive my 240 lbs. The rod has a nice feel to it, especially for a pack rod. It will be my rod of choice for next year's Alaska trip.
