Quantum Teton Trout 7' Rod, March 2, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Quantum Teton Trout Series Freshwater Fishing Rod (Sports) After purchasing and using the Quantum Teton Trout 7' light action rod I am very happy with it's performance. It is a 2 piece rod which is handy for transport in vehicles with smaller trunk space. I matched it rod with a Quantum Energy Pt size 20 spinning reel and they work well together (a little work was needed for the size 20 reel to fit, this rod was made for a size 10 or smaller). My fishing is for Crappie and Sunfish mostly but every now and then a Largemouth Bass, White Bass (Striper), or Catfish decides to play and this rod has been able to handle all of them. This is a great rod for the price and the quality of all Quantum products is excellent. Be sure to notice that the handle is different than a regular spinning rod, this handle is shorter almost like a fly rod/spinning rod hybrid. You will have to change your technique for this shorter handle but I find it gives me more control on the retrieve and finesse when casting into tight spots with heavy cover.
